Court One Athletic Clubs

A $34,000+ corporate windfall at the expense of youth sports families. According to official registration records, 494 players signed up for the USTA Level 4 tournament hosted here, with at least 247 players finishing with two rounds of play or fewer. By actively defying their own governing organization’s explicit written refund directives, Court One Athletic Clubs has pocketed an estimated $34,580 in unearned entry fees for services they failed to deliver. The Lack of Business Ethics: On June 5th, the USTA Midwest Committee ruled in writing that the tournament host must issue refunds to all players who received two rounds of play or fewer. Court One openly defied this directive to keep families' money, pocketing $140 per player while completely ignoring all customer escalation emails. The Operational Failure: Our family traveled 24 hours round-trip from out of state for this event, expecting a guaranteed 4-match format. Court One failed to secure adequate indoor backup courts for a major regional tournament. When it rained, their scheduling completely collapsed and the format was unilaterally canceled. Out-of-state families were left holding the bill for hundreds of dollar

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. I really, really enjoy my membership at court one. There is plenty of space, good selection of amenities, and the locations are convenient. Staff is extremely friendly, classes are fantastic, and it is always clean. Since signing up last June, I have been consistently going. I have always struggled with consistency at other gyms but the environment is super inviting and makes me WANT to come back. My one complaint is the hours, I wish it was open later (especially on weekends!). If it closed at 10-11 it would be an easy 5/5. For the price you can't beat it. I plan on renewing my contract this upcoming June :) (edit - upping to 5/5 instead of 4/5 because I really do love it)

It's actually QUIET! There's some background noise in the equipment room but it isn't nearly as much as other gyms at which I've been a member. Just enough to have something other than breathing sounds, not too much to keep you from concentrating on your workout. Price is ok enough, equipment is pretty decent, staff seems friendly, facilities are clean, and I'm looking forward to using the outdoor pool. But honestly the fact that it is a reasonable enough volume to want to be there consistently was a huge factor in joining.

Look very nice facilities but I couldn’t sign up for a membership over the phone LMAO it’s 2025 whatever management set up this policy is ridiculous - I should be able to sign up for a membership and reserve a court same day not be required to show up in person days in advance poorly organized and run facility

I went to a tournament today at court one and the tournament organizer were cool, calm and collected. Everything felt really well organized from ball storage, court assignments and communication. I’m impressed!
